Carin Interviews Me for Her Podcast: Sacred Stories, Creativity and Trust

A few weeks ago I had the joy to chat with a podcast hostess Carin Heubner from the Ripening podcast about my experiences in Spiritual Direction. Carin is a spiritual director, artist, audio producer, and all around wise, passionate and creative woman. She has become a dear friend to me, and I am thrilled to share this fun episode with you where we got to talk about things that we both care deeply about.

We discussed the impact of silence in our busy worlds, how direction is a space for our sacred stories, and the Finnish art of sauna (Yes, I think it's time for me to visit my father's land soon...).  Carin also asked me what I am learning in my work as a Spiritual Director and how this practice is shaping me as a person.

Highlights from the interview:

  • Working with children and how silence is more approachable to them than we’d think.

  • Getting creative in the direction space with imagination and creative tools.

  • God’s nearness and the warmth of His loving presence.
